Scoble uses Twitter’s new Lists feature (which Darrell wrote about earlier this month) to organize his Twitter stream and keep it easily digestible.

之前初次看到 Windows XP Mode 的時候，很好奇，不過並沒有進一步去了解，這兩天，趁此機會實際操作一下，喔，原來，這就是 Windows XP Mode。若要我來介紹什麼是 Windows XP Mode，簡單用一句話來形容：

「買一送一，買一套 Windows 7 送一套 Windows XP」，

可是這樣就要管理兩套 Windows，啊～～～～

Psystar released Rebel EFI a new and easy way to install Snow Leopard on Custom built PC/ Notebooks. If you don’t know it’s not a new method, David Elliot released BOOT-132 sometime around June 2008 which allows you to boot retail DVDs, Use Mac OS X Retail DVD on hackintoshes. The principle behind Rebel EFI is as same as Boot 132 “ Rebel EFI preloads an environment on the system from which OS X can boot and operate. The boot loader stores the necessary files (kext files) in a .img collection or simply a folder. The luxury of this new installation method includes the ability to boot and install from a retail Leopard DVD and update straight from Apple.”

我們知道應該有不少的使用者依然使用Windows XP，而如果XP使用者對於即將於明天全球發表（台灣是10/23）的Windows 7很有興趣的話，壞消息是，你無法從XP直接升級到Win 7，而必須使用乾淨安裝（clean install），好消息是，CNET帶來安裝說明介紹。

在你開始之前，先做下列三項事情：

1.執行Windows 7 upgrade adviser程式，它會讓你知道你的電腦是否可以安裝Windows 7。

2.看看Windows 7相容性中心，這跟升級指南不一樣，它會讓你知道你的驅動程式或應用程式是否需要更新才能在7裡使用。

3.複製你的硬碟以防出錯，我建議使用Macrium Reflect，可免費從Download.com下載。

“Our analysis indicates that Apple’s iPhone accounted for only 8% of handset industry revenues but 32% of industry operating profits in 1H09,” Sacconaghi wrote in a note to clients today. “Even if we exclude the operating losses generated by Motorola and Sony Ericsson, Apple still accounted for 25% of industry profits. iPhone’s success is akin to Apple’s position in the PC industry–where the company enjoys an estimated 25% of industry profits, despite capturing only 6% of industry revenues.”

You can almost hear Steve Jobs flipping out right now. Psystar, notable for its efforts to sell generic PCs with Mac OS X pre-loaded, has just released something called Rebel EFI. It’s software that allows you to install Mac OS X on generic PCs without having to Hackintosh said PC. (Hackintoshing isn’t for the weak of heart!)

The N97 did very well, and sold 1.8 million units. Nokia's Symbian-based touch phones - the N97, the 5800 XpressMusic and the 5530 XpressMusic - sold a combined 5.7 million units, which represents a sequential unit growth of 35 percent, according to Kallasvuo.

Competition in the smartphone segment is constantly accelerating, and the Nokia-backed Symbian platform has a lot of work to do. For example, the user interface needs to be improved, Kallasvuo said.

Once the darling of the enthusiast chipset market, NVIDIA has apparently decided to quit development of future chipsets for all platforms. This 'state of NVIDIA' editorial at PC Perspective first highlighted the fact that the company was backing away from its plans to develop a DMI-based chipset for Intel's Lynnfield processors due to legal pressure from Intel and debates over licensing restrictions.
